The ‘Sky Heel’ measures an incredible 22.5cm – a height so extreme that few footwear manufacturers, until now, would dare to make them. But the outrageous styles sported by Lady Ga Ga have sparked a demand for monster heels, A-list designers Christian Louboutin and Yves Saint Laurent have long favoured the super-stiletto and their expensive creations are firm favourites with Victoria Beckham, Cheryl Cole, Kate Moss and Dannii Minogue. But the Sky Heel, available in sparkly red or gold, will cost under #40 when they hit the shops next year. They will be sold by trendy shoe retailer Parmars at their stores around London and on their website. A spokesman for the firm said the design was inspired ”by the catwalk, for the sidewalk”.
